Judge John P. O'Donnell, is a Lake County Court of Common Pleas Judge. After graduation from law school John went to work as an Assistant Lake County Public Defender under Lake County Public Defender R. Paul LaPlante. While there, John had unique opportunity to immediately be able to engage in jury trials in both the Willoughby and Painesville Municipal Courts. This period of employment with the Public Defender allowed John to gain valuable insight and experience into the jury trial process which would serve to be invaluable in future years.

Judge Mark Bartolotta sits on the Lake County Probate Court Bench. In the fall of 1992, Judge Bartolotta was hired by the then Lake County Prosecutor Steve LaTourette into the prosecutor’s office. While there, he worked as a trial attorney in the civil, juvenile, and criminal divisions for over twenty years. During the last ten years of his service with the prosecutorʼs office, Judge Bartolotta was the Major Felony Prosecutor. In that capacity, he was responsible for bringing to justice the most violent, heinous criminals in the county. His typical caseload included murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, and white collar crime.

Judge Eugene Lucci has been a judge of the Lake County, Ohio, Common Pleas Court, General Division, since his election in 2000. He is the senior judge and currently serves as his court’s security coordinator and technology chair. Judge Lucci serves as co-chairman of the Ohio Judicial Conference’s Public Confidence and Community Outreach Committee, on the Executive Committee of the Ohio Judicial Conference, and on the Board of Governors of the American Judges Association.
